Mint never hinged. The stamp has never been used and its gum has never been disturbed by a stamp hinge. It is the condition collectors pay for.
Can I actually mail letters with these?
Yes. Every Forever stamp listed here is valid United States postage at the current first-class rate. Many customers buy them precisely because they look better than whatever is at the post office counter today.
What is a Scott number?
The Scott catalogue is the standard American reference for stamp identification. Each issue — and sometimes each printing of the same design — gets a number. Quoting it removes all ambiguity about what you are buying.
What is the difference between a sheet, a pane and a booklet?
A pane or sheet is the flat block of stamps sold at the counter, usually 20. A booklet folds, often printed double-sided with several designs inside a card cover. We state the format on every listing.
When do I need an additional-ounce stamp?
When your envelope weighs more than one ounce — typically a wedding suite with inserts, or several folded pages. Add one additional-ounce stamp alongside your Forever stamp.
And a non-machineable stamp?
Square envelopes, rigid enclosures, wax seals, ribbons and clasps all prevent automated sorting. Those need the non-machineable surcharge rate or they will be returned or surcharged on delivery.
